Early Years

Take your first steps towards a career in Early Years with our Access to Early Learning and Childcare Level 4 course. In just 18 weeks, you can gain the confidence and skills needed to work in the sector. You may also gain a Steps to Work award. This course provides a fast track path for those keen to make a difference in children's lives.

If you don't have formal qualifications but have life experience, we'll also consider your application.

This course includes practical experiences with essential theory. Here’s just some of what you may learn:

• how to care for children of different ages
• the importance of the family
• how to plan for stay and play session
• how to prepare a healthy snack for children
• meta skills: develop focusing and feelings
• transferable skills: build ICT and Digital Skills
• technical skills: boost self-confidence and teamwork abilities

Once you successfully complete this course, you can apply for:

• Access to ELC level 4 (Jan to June)

By choosing this course, you can develop your confidence and skills needed for the world of work. You may gain a Steps to Work Award and develop a positive attitude essential for the early learning and childcare sector.
