Have you ever thought about a career in tech? Right now, Scotland's got a tech job boom, with thousands of jobs up for grabs each year. This course is your first step into a world full of opportunities, from web development to cyber security.

If you don't have formal qualifications, but have life experience, then we'll also consider you for a place, so please do apply.
Course Content
Some of what you may learn:
- Programming Basics: Learn to write code.
- Web Design: Get the skills to build a website.
- Software Development: Understand how to make software.
- Game Design: Create your own computer game.
Careers and Further Study
Complete An Introduction to Computing (Level 4) and you may have the opportunity to move on to Level 5 courses or even get a junior tech role.

Meta Skills: you will develop the meta skills of Focusing and Feelings.
Transferrable Skills: you will develop your ICT and Digital Skills.
Technical Skills: you will develop your self-confidence and ability to work with others

Throughout the course you will meet with guest speakers from universities, various companies and third sector organisations as well as ex-students who have studied the course and gone on to further study. There are also opportunities to work on projects alongside a number of companies such as CyberFirst, iDance, Barclays Bank, East, North, and South Ayrshire Councils, and many more.
