This Level 5 course is designed to support your next steps towards a career in Early Learning and Childcare. Running from August to June, you will develop your confidence and the skills required to work in this sector.
Entry Requirements
For entry to this course, you’ll need:
- a real interest in children’s learning and development
- five National 4s including English, or a relevant course at SCQF Level 4
- an interview with us
If you don’t have formal qualifications, but have life experience, then we’ll also consider you for a place, so please call us for a chat.
Course Content
During this course, you may learn:
- planning and delivering sessions for children's play and development
- providing experiences that fuel children's creativity and imagination
- mastering meta-skills: like collaborating and adapting
- enhancing transferable skills: in ICT and digital proficiency
- gaining technical skills: in teamwork and confidence building
