Are you interested in learning the skills to provide high quality care and education for children? This Level 5 course is designed to support your next steps towards a career in Early Years. Running from January to June, this is a fast-track course delivered over an 18-week period.

Entry Requirements
For entry to this course, you will need:
- A real interest in children's learning and development
- 5 National 4s including English, or
- A relevant course at SCQF Level 4
- An interview with us
If you don't have formal qualifications, but have life experience, then we'll also consider you for a place, so please call us for a chat.
Course Content
This course includes both hands-on practical experiences and essential theory.
Here's just some of what your will learn:
- How to care for and support the feeding of children under 5.
- The range of settings available in the Early Learning and Childcare sector.
- You will be introduced to the importance of children's rights.
- Developing your own confidence and skills through project-based learning and volunteering.
- Learning the theory behind why play is so important to young children's learning.
