• Completion of the pre-apprenticeship at SCQF Level 5
• A successful interview with us
• An additional skills test may also be required

If you don't have formal qualifications but have relevant life experience, we'll consider your application.

You will:

• refine your techniques in painting, producing specialist finishes and mastering the use of spraying equipment
• in papering, you'll tackle more complex surfaces and develop expertise in cutting, trimming, and hanging various types of wallpaper.

• Gain expertise in specialist finishes, including multi-plate stencilling and replication of wood and marble
• Master the use of modern equipment like airless and High Volume Low Pressure (HVLP) for water-borne paint coatings
