For entry to this course, you’ll need:

• Passion for the Industry
• Four National 5s (or SCQF Level 5 equivalent)
• Age 16+ (or relevant life experience- note for some progression courses age requirements is 18 + however will speak to you about this as applicable)

This course is theory based with some practical skin analysis

Here is some of what you may study;

• Monitor and maintain health and safety in the salon
• Client care and communication in beauty related industries
• Provide skin analysis and assessment
• Beauty therapy science
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology for skin treatments and/or beauty and spa

When you successfully complete this course, you may progress to: Contemporary Facialist Technician (Chemical Peels, Microneedling, Dermaplaning) or Body Massage Technician
