Entry Requirements
To apply for this enriching course, you'll need:
- a genuine interest in Health and Wellbeing
- minimum qualifications: 1 Higher or equivalent, Wellness and Complementary Therapies or a qualification at SCQF Level 6 or equivalent
If you don’t have formal qualifications but have appropriate experience or training, then we’ll also consider you for a place, so please do apply.
Course Content
In this course, you may explore a diverse curriculum that includes:
- in-depth study of body structures and systems to understand the impact of wellness and complementary therapies
- learning to consult with clients, develop treatment plans, and apply Aromatherapy massage techniques
- gaining profound knowledge of essential oils, including extraction methods and safety
- exploring the theory and history of Reflexology and mastering the practical skills of performing Reflexology treatments
- discovering the history, principles, techniques, and resources used in Traditional Head massage
- researching various massage techniques and learning to tailor them to clients' needs
- acquiring skincare expertise, devising treatment plans for facial treatments, and providing aftercare advice
Taking part in a suitable work placement such as a holistic clinical setting, community wellbeing practice or spa facility.
