Girls into Engineering

Ayrshire College, in partnership with SmartSTEMs, is delighted to announce 'Girls into Engineering".

The event, which is part of #ThisAyrshireGirlCan campaign, aims to inspire young girls about careers in STEM. It will take place in Kilmarnock Campus from 9.30am - 2.30pm on Wednesday 12 June.

Females from Ayrshire secondary schools are invited to attend. The event is predominantly aimed at S1 and S2, however, if you have S3 pupils that you feel would benefit from coming along, they are more than welcome.

Pupils will hear from guest speakers, meet with exhibitors and take part in various STEM based workshops. Packed lunches will be provided.

The proposed format of the day is as follows:

9.30am - 9.55am: Registration/meet the exhibitors

9.55am - 10.00am: Welcome

10.00am - 10.30am: Guest speaker(s)

10.30am - 10.40am: Get to workshop 1

10.40am - 11.25am: Workshop 1

11.25am - 11.35am: Get to lunch

11.35am - 12.20pm: Lunch/meet the exhibitors

12.20pm - 12.30pm: Get to workshop 2

12.30pm - 1.15pm: Workshop 2

1.15pm - 1.25pm: Get to workshop 3

1.25pm - 2.10pm: Workshop 3

2.10pm - 2.20pm - Get to Open Space

2.20pm - 2.30pm - Closing remarks

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
