New Fund launched to support training within SMEs
Scottish businesses can now apply directly to Ayrshire College to access up to £5,000 worth of training for their workforce.
As part of the Flexible Workforce Development Fund Phase 2, the Scottish Government has provided additional funds to mitigate the impact of Covid-19 for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
This is the first time the fund has been made available to SMEs in Scotland and is open to the private, public and third sector organisations.
Ayrshire College is offering training courses which focus on upskilling and reskilling in digital, leadership, and management as well as training designed to help employers boost productivity and growth.
Packages have been designed to include:
- Digital skills
- Leading Remote Teams
- Leadership and Management
- Productivity
- Project Management and Covid-19 recover
Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with expressions of interest to be made to businessgrowth@ayrshire.ac.uk. The Business Growth team can also be contacted on 01292 261469 extension 7001 for any enquiries.
Nuala Boyle, Head of Business Growth at Ayrshire College, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for SMEs to invest in their people and take advantage of funding support.
