Plumbing apprentice has all the tools for success
An Ayrshire College apprentice has been awarded £1,000 worth of tools to help him develop his career in the plumbing industry.
Owen Grant, 18 from Maybole, is a modern apprentice on the second year of the SVQ Mechanical Engineering Services (Plumbing) course at the Ayr Campus, who is employed by William Kennedy.
He was selected by Monument Tools to receive the grant worth £1,000 after they assessed a number of application forms.
Owen said: "Someone from Monument Tools came into the college earlier this year and we all signed up to get a free set of tools. I couldn't believe it when I got the email through. I feel really lucky to have been selected, this is a great set of tools. It's everything I need to help get me through my apprenticeship."
