Ayrshire College achieves Investors in People Gold accreditation
Ayrshire College has been recognised as a great place to work, by achieving Investors in People (IiP) gold accreditation.
This outstanding result for Ayrshire College, one of the largest colleges in Scotland, is based entirely on the views and evidence shared by current staff members. The IiP review for the College was carried out in August 2022 and involved a staff survey as well as meetings with staff.
The College’s previous IiP review took place in 2019 when the College was assessed as Standard, therefore, significant improvement has taken place during the three year period.
Ayrshire College staff gathered across all campuses at the end of the working day on Wednesday 2 November to celebrate their achievements.
Angela Cox, who joined the College as Principal earlier this year, said at the event: “I am delighted to be part of a college and staff team which has very strong values and a clear sense of purpose and vision, which has embraced the cultural transformation demonstrated by this fantastic outcome.
“Our IiP Gold accreditation provides a very exciting platform from which to build, and it is my aim to work with all staff to take forward the recommendations set out in the report. The key recommendation includes building on our Gold accreditation with an aspiration to achieve Platinum in three years’ time.”
Fiona McQueen CBE, Chair of the Ayrshire College Board of Management, said: “On behalf of the Board of Management, I would like to congratulate and thank all staff on this amazing success. “The feedback received from the review was extremely positive and staff conveyed a strong sense of pride in being part of the College and the impact that we have on people’s lives. It is people who make our College, both staff and students, and together we can continue to aspire to even greater success as we move forward.”
