Ayrshire Film Festival secures special guest speakers
Scottish screenwriter Neil Forsyth and film producer Kieran Parker will be attending the Ayrshire Film Festival on 26 May at the Gaiety Theatre in Ayr.
The event will showcase student productions from Ayrshire College and other colleges across Scotland.
Forsyth, who is best known for his work on the hit BBC series 'Guilt' will discuss the new and final series of the show. 'Guilt' is a dark comedy-drama about two brothers who accidentally run over and kill an old man, and then try to cover up the crime. The first series was a hit with audiences and critics alike, and the second series has been eagerly awaited by fans.
In addition to 'Guilt', Forsyth has also worked on a number of other successful TV shows and films, including 'Bob Servant' 'Eric, Ernie and Me’ and ‘The Gold’. He has also written several books, including 'Let's Talk About Love: Why Other People Have Such Bad Taste' which was shortlisted for the Scottish Book of the Year award.
Kieran Parker, who is the founder of production company Black Camel Pictures, has worked on a number of successful films including 'Outpost' 'Outpost: Black Sun' and 'Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan'. The company recently shot an episode of hit TV dram ‘Annika’ on location at Ayrshire College.
The Ayrshire Film Festival will be a great opportunity for fans of Scottish television to meet two of the industry's most talented and successful figures. It will also be the chance for Forsyth and Parker to talk about their experiences working in the film and TV industry.
