Hello! We are the Mental Health and Wellbeing Champions for Ayrshire College.

Our role is to raise awareness and understanding of mental health and wellbeing by promoting the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and looking at ways to reduce the stigma associated with mental health.

We work collaboratively with internal and external partners to promote relevant information and resources, create activities to boost wellbeing and support our Mental Health Liaison Officer and Student Association to provide additional workshops, events, advice and support to both students and staff.

Our Student Wellbeing Ambassadors link our service directly to the students and will be working to encourage positive wellbeing.

We are based within the Student Experience Office on our respective campuses – please pop along and say hello or email us to find out what we are working on and see how you can get involved!

The Promoting Wellbeing Group was established to lead, develop, implement and review a three-year action plan from 2021-2024.

The action plan represents a whole-college approach recognising that the promotion of positive wellbeing and tackling stigma particularly around mental health is the responsibility of us all.

The Promoting Wellbeing Group includes a cross-section of College staff, the Student Association, the Mental Health Liaison Officer, the Alcohol and Drugs Liaison Officer and an NHS Ayrshire and Arran Health Improvement Officer.
